Dear Sirs,
Give us back the uptick rule. Last year as I watched our market being decimated by shorts I realized why the rule was put in place in the thirties. It made me wonder who really wanted it removed and who does not want it reinstated now. "Who" does not care about peoples investments or investing.
Naked shorting and machine trading along with a lack of a decent uptick rule have done enough damage to ordinary investors.
