I have seen several of the companies that I invest in get absolutely assaulted by short selling that can be nothing less than a planned attack to drive the price down for profit. These companies have great fundamentals when one looks past the constant negative information pasted into the blogs and regurgitated in the financial media.
Please give us BOTH a re-reinstatement of the uptick rule and a circuit breaker that resets only after several trading days.
If I understand it correctly, only shares on margin are available for borrowing. Strict enforcement of that rule and of the Rule against "naked" shorting would give me and the market some added confidence.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
