Please explain the thought process for not reinstating the uptick rule. The uptick rule was in place for decades in this country and helped augment orderly trading. Since its repeal the the markets have become much more volatile, as many investors now view them as more of a casino, with short term trading positions as opposed to longer term investing positions. Tremendous amounts of wealth have been destroyed due to this change in investor mentality.

Is the SEC really this disconnected? If so, we will turn our attention to H.R. 302 as a means to force the so called "leadership" at the SEC to perform the tasks for which it is responsible.
