I do the investing for various family members as we do not want to turn our assets over to a stranger (e.g., Bernie Madoff). This plan has worked out well until the recent market decline which was, in my opinion, greatly exacerbated by the lack of an uptick rule. As such, I strongly urge you to reinstate it. All we want is a level playing field and I always thought that was part of the SEC's reason for existence.
