Dear SEC:
I strongly support reinstatement of the uptick rule for short sales of securities. Though short selling is a legitimate investing strategy and helps to correct overinflated securities prices, it is a strategy that can readily be abused by large investing operations (ie, hedge funds) to artificially depress the price of securities, all to the detriment of small retail investors.
