I am fully in favor of restoring the uptick rule. For those who say this will not matter, than fine - humor me - put the uptick rule back in place and let's see what happens.
The uptick rule is a fundamental circuit breaker regardless of the buy/sell spread and in effect will level the playing field and prevent the bear raids that we witnessed in 2008 on our nation's banks.
