As a regular Joe, I do not believe short selling restrictions will make a differnce to market volatility

The best situation would be to return to .05 spreads to eliminate all the plethora of programs and algorithms that are more the cause of the market jitterness

As a regular market participant, I think it will extremelly unfair if a short rule is imoposed and not imposed for market makers and other market participants as it takes away the level playing field.

I do not believe the short uptick rule will effect the balance sheets and the rally in the last 2 months has proven that the shorts really cannot move stocks that have good earnings or a financially sound..if anytghing they help them go up more as shorts get squeezed
