Hello the original rule worked well for over seventy years ,recent events have proved the value of the uptick rule in controlling volatility. The "naked" short sales should be investigated and punished criminal courts like thieves.Short sellers must produce on third day or be fined heavily with there broker. Markets do not work with out fairness and trust in rule of law. Thank You
