Naked shorting must be made illegal - it destroys regular investors believe in the market fairness which ultimately will lead to a lot money been pulled out of markets believed to be fraudulent. This is bad for the economy as a whole. Where are the good old times when a company stock price was reflecting the fundametals of its business?
