I'm tired of seeing the slaps on the wrist the SEC is capable of handing out. It amounts to an insignificant \"cost of doing business\" fee for financial institutions to purposefully ignore the rules of the market. If we can't get congress, who are free to benefit from trading securities mind you (conflict of interest/black hole in the democracy, anyone?), to give more resources to the SEC for enforcement, we can at least boost the whistleblower program in any way possible,

The whistleblower program is something hugely empowering to the SEC, and I would like to see it expanded in lieu of/parallel to the expansion of fines to institutions that are caught cheating.
