I’m writing in support of a strong Dodd-Frank rule 953(b).
Disclosing corporate pay ratios between CEOs and average employees will discourage the reckless pay practices that fueled the 2008 crash.
I prefer to buy from fair trade companies, so this will help me find out which businesses to support with my consumer and investment dollars. People are still struggling to replace lost wages from the 2008 financial collapse, and I look for products coming from companies that pay living wages to their workers and avoid excessive executive pay.
I am aware that you are under intense pressure by business interests to weaken or abandon the rule. Protect the American public against the self-serving interests of those seeking to undermine this rule.
