I learned recently that the CEO of United Healthcare (one of the biggest insurance firms to sell Medicare supplemental insurance) is paid over 120 million dollars a year. That is outrageous and there is nothing any executive could possibly do to earn that income. I think the European rule of 12 to 1 is a reasonable amount for any executive to earn. Congress has consistently given the top earners in our country the best tax rates. Executives should pay the highest tax rates in our nation if they earn over a million dollars a year.
