I vehemently protest the lack of strict guidelines as to how hedge funds can advertise their products and services to the public or potential clients. The notion that hedge funds will be ethical in determining who is an "accredited" client has already been disproven by the 2008 crisis. The consumer, taxpayers, and citizens deserve more protection from the inevitable predatory practices of hedge fund businesses.
