August 19, 2022 I fully support stronger regulation of private equity, and the proposed changes of this rule making. I would support even stronger regulations and changes that would make it so private equity firms could not force the companies they buy to repay the purchase cost, to make acquisitions dependent on approval from the FTC under the mergers and acquisition rules, and to prevent private equity firms from buying up large proportions of real assets, as they are doing in the housing market.
