As an American, it seems obvious to me that hedge fund secrecy and kickbacks are bad. If we can regulate that my vanguard account has to provide clear information about rates and fees (and ditto railroads, headmen insurance, shipping, etc) why not make private equity and hedge funds be transparent when they try to fleece my alma mater? Honestly I think private equity / leveraged buyouts are immoral and un American. But at least they can be more transparent -- Sahar Massachi P.S. What I'm doing now: [REDACTED]
