To whom it may concern, I'm not a financial expert, but as someone who's been following the damage private equity has done to this country for some time now, it’s clear that the SEC’s historical oversight of private equity hasn't done nearly enough to reign in its worst impulses.That is why I'm grateful to see the agency take this important matter up again with such a detailed and apparently very carefully thought out set of rule changes, and I hope to see more of this kind of thoughtful and necessary legislation taken up by our current leaders.
