March 15, 2023 Investors in stocks REQUIRE a level playing field. The SEC should be extremely judicial in allowing exceptions to a conflict of interest rule. The proposal allows exceptions which open the door to more fraudulent behavior which strip small investors of protections and information, while allowing large investors and hedge funds to engage in manipulation (such as establishing shell accredited investor accounts which fall outside of regulatory oversight) to favor their own interests. The market needs to be a fair playing field regardless of the size of the player, please continue to guarantee this outcome.
