March 9, 2023 I absolutely support measures to work to prevent conflict of interest in our American equities market. I feel, as a household investor, that corruption is blantant and rampant amongst major players like hedge funds and big banks. The innapropriate relationships between government officials (e.g. our representatives and senators) and major players in the market needs to be made illegal. Money should never change hands between someone holding an official post in the US government and some executive at Goldman Sachs, much less become speaker of the house or secretary of treasury. It is even worse when these government officials go on to trade stocks based on intel they have from their work. It is corruption at the hightest level and anything we can do to prevent this is of high importance and the rule must pass.
