Madame Chairman;
I am the founder, managing member of a private equity investment company in North Carolina.
I understand that consideration is being given to somewhat relaxing the rules allowing private investors to invest in non-registered ventures. I would like to say that I wholeheartedly support such an effort, and would like to add my input in this process as I believe that such rule relaxation can significantly increase the availability of capital that can be used to revive this economy.
Please advise as to the status of this rule making process, and when/if there will be a comment period. I would also be glad to discuss my thoughts regarding this rule change with one of your representatives. I would welcome a face-to-face meeting if that would be appropriate.
