The citizens of this country NEED to know the CEO worker ratio. It reveals much about a company, from if they're in it for the long haul and take care of their workers, to enabling states to impose taxes on their unfair practices.
It makes so much sense. Dodd Frank is there for a reason.
ONLY big business and the ultra rich would think it would be a good idea to roll back any part of Dodd Frank, one small part of which is to keep information on CEO/worker pay ratios available to the public. We need MORE disclosure about the great (and getting greater) disparity between the earners of this country, not LESS!!!
Consumers need to be protected from these corporate giants creating a repeat of the 07-08 financial disaster. What do they care? They have learned they'll just get bailed out by the government with NO repercussions of any kind!! (If a billionaire loses 99% of his net worth, he is still a millionaire TEN TIMES over!!! That's still mighty rich in my book.)
(Grandma has to go work at CVS because billionaire's took her investment savings!!)
Wasn't one of those "promises" about going against wall st and the billionaires?? Don the con's followers will catch on eventually.
