I haven't read the details of the JOBS Act but have read articles in the latter half of March in The New York Times about it. I have two concerns: (a) that boiler rooms may exploit this Act to their advantage and to the detriment of ordinary investors. Let's not let this Act become what one Columbia Law professor has referred to it as the "Boiler Room Legalization Act." (b) I would hope there would be a procedure established allowing Americans to avoid emails requesting funding for start-ups. The current Do-Not-Call national list is inadequate as I get solicitations frequently (not to invest, but annoying ones nevertheless). Thank you.
