Access for US investors to emerging markets is fantastic, however there is a huge burden of responsibility on the SEC to insure that US investors are protected from foreign scams and shell companies. The SEC has a track record of reactionary rule-making that has consistently missed the chance to save investor money in fraud schemes. This NEEDS TO CHANGE. There are a large number of Chinese companies that are taking advantage of the SEC's inaction by fraudulently misleading investors with false numbers and promises of customers and revenue that DO NOT EXIST. One glaring example that comes to mind is GSX TECHEDU, which has been found to be a fraud by just about every respectable investing professional in the US. When will you do something about this? There are many more Chinese companies that are guilty of defrauding US investors. STOP letting Chinese companies steal US investor money.
