The result of this collaboration has been an explosion of False Claims Act whistleblower cases, with enormous sums of money returned to the Treasury. Since the law was amended in 1986, whistleblower cases have recovered $18 billion.
Do not allow corporations to require an internal whistleblower procedure first. It will create an enormous barrier to recover US dollars from criminals, wearing suits but criminals none the less.
