As the owner of a small business and a member of an international company, I am strongly opposed to the push for one-size-fits-all reporting. Given the already-extant climate risk reporting requirements, a further regulatory increase--especially one intended to apply to both extremely large corporations and the smallest publicly-traded companies--is something that I am convinced will only serve to punish innovation and disruption in the market by incurring disproportionate costs to smaller companies who would be required to submit to increasingly strict and cumbersome disclosure regulations.

Additionally, I am concerned that increased regulation regarding prescriptive climate disclosure can be used to circumvent the proper regulatory authority to create a climate policy applying only to publicly-traded corporations. I stand for responsible manufacturing and industry, but the potential regulations seem to be a surreptitious attempt to bypass the normal regulatory system.
