Securities and Exchange Commission Political Contributions by Certain Investment Advisers File Number S7-2026-31 Public Comment,
I urge you to withdraw the proposal to eliminate the SEC's pay-to-play rule and its related recordkeeping requirements. Workers' pensions should never become rewards for Wall Street firms buying political influence.

The rule was implemented after serious pension corruption scandals. Its 2-year restriction on compensated advisory services after covered political contributions helps deter investment managers from using campaign checks to secure lucrative government business.

Relying on enforcement after corruption occurs leaves workers' retirement savings exposed to preventable harm. Private equity firms and other investment managers must remain subject to strong safeguards against buying access to public pension funds. Preserve and enforce the pay-to-play rule. Put workers' retirement security ahead of Wall Street's demands for fewer restrictions.

Sincerely,
