Oh no! They can hide it for six months instead of three! How will the bureaucracy survive! 😱 

What I see in posts like this is people always looking, and in some cases hoping, for the worst outcome to any change regardless of the requirements on the group or company that has to produce it. 

Financial reporting is gonna keep getting done every month; and currently, SEC filings happen once a quarter (10-Q) AND annually (10-K). 

Accounting for millions, if not billions, of dollars in revenue and expenditures that use up a lot of resources and time is a burden for many companies. 

Changing SEC filings to twice a year, some new form (10-$), won't change the fact they still have to report financials accurately and timely. But what it may do is put less stress on the business 
to keep churning out government reports.
