My name is Kristin and I teach Pilates for a living. I’ve always been around entrepreneurs my entire adult life and follow business news and the economy. My personal livelihood depends on an economy that wants to spend on retail exercise (for some it’s a luxury-I think it should be covered by healthcare-another topic); and a stable economy the provides the cash flow for people to spend. Currently average folks are not spending! Bad for me. Bad for all business because I’m certainly not spending either now. I had more cash flow two years ago. What happened?! (I ask knowing the answer-Trump). I work in corporate, but I’m paid on commission so I have to have an entrepreneurial mindset to survive. Yet, I see how the corporate end gobbles up nearly half of my earnings. If they fully paid my healthcare then I’d not feel so bad about their cut. I want to know what’s going on that affects the average person like me. Big business has an obligation to the public to be transparent. Big business is inefficient and frankly infuriating when you have to deal with anyone. Don’t get me started about my month and half long experience switching from T-Mobile to AT&T and now they bought out USI Wireless and Quantum making everything worse logistically. I’m still not finished with tasks associated to switching to AT&T. Ridiculous! If I provided the same kind of service to my client base I’d go out of business because people would think I’m incompetent fool. Many larger corporations offer watered down services with no accountability. Take for example that my boss purchased a brand uniform jacket for me 4 months ago. I have yet to receive it. I have to spend an hour just finding the right department to send an email ticket to to get an update. These dumb things plague big business everywhere. I also think one of the worst moves ever is AI call centers for business. Nothing enrages a customer more than speaking to a robot and waiting forever to speak to a human. I want to know how these companies operate and how it affects our everyday lives. Tired of corruption in the name of trickle down. Trickle down is a myth and propaganda that rich people tell. It’s a fairy tale, “A Grimm Fairy Tale”. Thank you!
