I have worked in finance and if for close to forty years. Software has improved SO much that full financial consolidations and reporting can be achieved in minutes rather than WEEKS. The only reason to reduce the requirements is to enable fraud. It severely reduces data points for detecting revealing fraud. Time frame should be increased to monthly rather than reduced
