I am a young retiree, completely reliant on investments, that I've worked hard and sacrificed for. It's essential to have quarterly reporting, in order to make accurate trading decisions. Optional semi-annual reporting is preposterous. Companies with any type of financial hiccup will use it to hide volatility for as long as possible, while giving insiders 6 whole months to trade. The risk to the average investor, compared to the tiny extra profit for companies, is way too high. Other countries, who have done this are now considering a reverse course, due to the damage it has been creating. Please do not entertain re-enacting this rule again.
