To Whom it May Concern:

My name is Kaitlin, and I am a teacher. I rely on quarterly reporting for the same reason your child gets a quarterly report card: transparency, accountability, and the opportunity to change direction.

That quarterly grade is important for both me and your student. A failing grade means it's time to reevaluate. Am I, the teacher, doing an adequate job presenting the material? Has your student turned in the assignments? Are interventions needed? There the metaphor ends, because a good teacher can catch failing performance and course correct with parents long before report cards are issued. Investors do not have that luxury. We rely on that quarterly report because it is our chance to see how a company is doing and hold them accountable. Just as a quarterly report helps us all make better decisions for your child, a business's quarterly report helps investors make better decisions for themselves.

Consumers have been hit hard enough. Don't take away our opportunity to know what our money is doing.

Thank you,
