Keeping it at 4 times a year keeps it honest in this period of dishonesty! I think it would be a terrible disservice, and it’s a sign of sheer laziness to reduce the frequency of disclosures. The SEC is a federal regulatory agency, they need to regulate including necessary quarterly reporting. President Trump exercises control over the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). While the SEC is historically an independent agency, the Trump administration has asserted direct White House authority over it. For this reason alone, cutting back on the reporting is a no-go for me.

Reducing the frequency of disclosures hurts market transparency, creates information vacuums, and makes it harder for individuals and analysts to track a company's financial health.
