Government's purpose and grant of authority is to protect the rights of the people. Therefore it must protect against corporations whose interests are served in ways that, left unchecked would infringe on these rights. Corporations do not have rights, they have privileges. They are overseen by government representatives of the people. If government reps do not monitor closely corporations that have harmed the people in the past, they are failing in their primary duty. Companies that have a history of working to benefit the people may receive favor (less tight/difficult restrictions and oversight demands) from governmental reps. The history is clear. These corporations must have tight management by government. Respectfully, Tom Olson
