Hello, I am writing to express my concern and disappointment that the two remaining Commissioners of the Securities and Exchange Commission have seen fit to erase the consensus quorum requirement for rules modification. A body of regulation that is designed by Congress to be bipartisan and sizable, being run by a single state and with under half its legislated population, is a regulatory body that is not fulfilling its obligations. While the onus falls on the President to appoint SEC members, the fact that quorum is now being rendered effectively useless as a measure to prevent unilateral decision-making is dangerous. The amendment to which this letter is in reference is one designed to ensure that not only doe the public lack a means in informing the security regulation of American finance, but so does that regulatory body itself lack a need for consensus. That is inherently dangerous. Kindly do as you can to reverse it, and encourage the President and Senate to speed up the process of filling the vacancies. Thank you. J.
