A process that nobody has written down tends to fail. That is my worry about the notification and opt-out steps in the Innovation Exemption for tokenized stocks. As I understand it, a platform is supposed to notify a company before offering tokens tied to its stock. If the company stays silent for 30 days, the platform can go ahead. The exemption does not say how notice must be delivered, who must receive it, or how a company says no. I own a small business and worked as an engineer in the oil industry. In both, I tried to be as transparent and upfront about changes to the business as quickly as possible. I think the finance industry should do the same. I urge the Commission to spell out the notification and opt-out process in plain terms, and to make clear how investors can tell if a company objected. Thank you for hearing me out.
