I am an active angel investor. I am also an active investor in an investment fund focusing on crowdfunded businesses. I find it frustrating that founders of businesses in which I invest are hamstrung in accelerating their success because of low SEC limits on raise amounts. I support raising the Reg CF cap from $5M to $20M. Reg CF is effective and protective, but it is too limiting. When an issuer’s raise exceeds $5 million, it flips to inaccessible or inefficient/expensive financing options.
