Chair Paul Atkins,
To the members of SEC, I am writing to urge you to get on the right side of history and not participate in obscuring the rampant wealth inequality that is existing and growing in our country.
We need to maintain transparency. Our country is not made for and by the rich alone, but by all of its citizens, those that toil with substandard wages and working conditions are doing more than their fair share of making our country great.
Be assured that we will remember you and the ways that you either uphold transparency or deny it. To deny it is to compound inequity and further the degradation of our great land.
I strongly urge the SEC to maintain its existing disclosure rules, including the summary compensation table, the disclosure of senior executives’ perks and the disclosure of the ratio of CEO to median employee pay.
