To the SEC: I am an American household investor with my life savings and my future invested in the US stock market. The problem is, the US STOCK MARKET is infested with problems. The SEC is supposed to regulate the securities markets, but the leaders of the SEC are far too cozy with those they are supposed to reign in. Fines are too light. Criminal prosecutions with prison time are too rare. This lackadaisical approach to enforcement is a GREEN LIGHT to continue abusive and criminal behavior. Personally, I'd love to see NO shorting of companies - it seems Anti-American to bet against (and often actively destroy to ensure a win) a company who is creating jobs and trying to grow and succeed. To me, if you think a company will fail, then simply do not invest in it. Why drag it down by shorting it in excess of 100%? Speaking of shorting... US markets have a problem - short selling and failing to deliver is distorting supply and demand in markets, impairing the price discovery process. The persistence of FTDs introduces systemic risk. Enforcement actions have demonstrated that loopholes are being abused. The SEC has allowed market makers to create shares and introduce them into trading circulation despite the company NOT ISSUING THESE SHARES. This is dilution. This is criminal counterfeiting devaluing a company, and every LONG investor is a victim. It is PAST TIME to tighten up the rules and return to fair and transparent markets. It is PAST TIME to get aggressive with enforcement actions, identify offenders, and recommend to the DOJ these criminals for prosecution. It is PAST TIME to clean up the systemic fraud on Wall Street and remove employees of the SEC who are conflicted in their loyalty. I will be sending a copy of this letter to DOGE_SEC, FBI Director Kash Patel, President Trump, AG Pam Bondi, and the SDNY. The house of cards that has formed on Wall Street threatens to destroy both the national and global economies, and even the US dollar itself. PLEASE ACT NOW to fix this National Security Risk. Thank You, D. Kraft Michigan
