Dear SEC, I am requesting that the petition 4-785 be enacted immediately. The retail investor is watching. The U.S. stock market is watching. The WORLD is watching what you do. Because if the world loses confidence in the fairness of the markets and abandons the markets, that will be the end of the U.S. economy. Will it be difficult to weather this storm? Absolutely. But at least people everywhere will see that, once and for all, the U.S. stock market is fair for all investors, not just those with the most money. I am discouraged that market makers have been allowed to route so much legitimate, retail traffic through dark pools while the SEC has stood by and watched. Now is the time to do the right thing. Will you be remembered in the annals of history for being cowardly slaves to your corporate overlords? Or will you be remembered as having stood up for retail investors and helped the "little guy" as your mission statement says? Time will tell. -Matt Ritchie
