As a diverse shareholder and part time day trader it is important to me that all orders go towards a lit market. Upon finding out that nearly all orders go to a dark pool makes me want to leave the stock exchange for good as it add to the lack of transparency that plaques our markets and severely needs to change. I’m glad the SEC is implementing this 14 day dark pool restriction for GME and AMC as it will show just out effected certain stocks are when their short interest, volatility, and demand is extremely high.
