Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

According to the Supreme Court, corporations are persons, and therefore enjoy civil rights analogous to those of citizens. Since this is the case, they also enjoy civil responsibilities analogous to those of citizens, including public accountability for how they spend their money. This is especially true since corporations, especially the richest corporations, refuse to pay their fair share in taxes. If you let them get away with refusing to disclose their political contributions, you conspire with them to deceive the American people, and you become--or, more likely, remain--a lackey of the rich and powerful. If you don't care for the label, don't earn it!

Sincerely,

James C. Taylor
