Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:
Citizens United it a free fall to Oligarchy. It is the antithesis of what was intended by the Founders of our government. It is an aberration that the Supreme Court approved it, and it is a law that MUST be overturned and overturned NOW because of the damage it can do. Private citizens voices are no longer heard as the few select and fund who THEY want to run our country. Isn't that Machiavellian? ABSOLUTELY. The SEC MUST require publically traded companies to divulge their political spending, and in fact, the limits to their spending MUST be imposed, or we are in jeopardy as a democracy!
I am writing to urge the SEC to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.
