Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

While I don't believe corporations should be allowed to contribute to political campaigns, until such a law is enacted at the Federal level, I believe the SEC should issue a rule no later than 1 September 2012, requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on trying to influence our political process and which candidates and ideas it is promoting or choosing to attack. As we live in a digital age, disclosures of donations should be posted simultaneously with the donation on the SEC's web site.

I fail to understand how you can in good conscience make your decent livings from us taxpayers without insisting that publicly traded corporations do this!

Sincerely,

Thomas Insinger
