Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

I am writing to urge the SEC to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site.

Doesn't this seem unfair to you? only in America would this ever become such an issue. You'd think that anywhere else, besides China and North Korea this policy would be absolutely unacceptable. How it's it that corporations got such an disproportionate amount of power? Corporations should not be treated as private individuals or citizens. They should be treated as corporations and have special rules that govern their involvement in or politics. Not this garbage that we have now. Come on... How does this make any sense?
Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Michael Jacob
