From what I read and hear, most thoughtful Americans believe the U. S. Supreme Court made a dreadful decision in the "Citizens United" case, permitting corporations to spend unlimited funds to buy elections. Because of this decision, it seems imperative that citizens are able to know how that money is spent, and what corporations are spending it. Toward that end, I urge the SEC to issue a rule requiring all publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all of their political spending. This will assure citizens that sunlight is the best disinfectant.
