The Securities and Exchange Commission

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,

Please explain why your Commission has allowed money that millions of Americans have invested through their 401(k)s, to be used in secret political war chests without their consent.

Please make it clear to the people of the United States why the Securities and Exchange Commission allows millions of completely untraceable dollars to flow into political super PACs.

Right now, a corporation may be sinking millions of dollars into a political campaign and the actual owners of the company, the shareholders, are not privy to how and why these funds are being used.

As a presiding Commission your duty is to ensure that shareholders and the public are fully informed with respect to corporate contribution to political candidates. We are entitled to full disclosure about which political candidate is the recipient of promotional campaigns and which candidates are receiving negative media coverage via these publicly shared money sources.

I urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule mandating publicly-traded corporations to disclose all their political spending.

Sincerely,

Gwen Tessier
