The Citizens United Supreme Court decision is a travesty, and makes a mockery of our democracy. No country in which the ultra-rich can use their massive collection of funds to control our elections by buying the winners, and in secrecy no less, can in truth be a democracy. And that is what is happening.
I urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to do everything in its power to stop this absurd practice, by requiring that the identity of the donors of publicly traded corporations to any political advertisement, be disclosed immediately upon release of the ad.
