Dear SEC,
As a holder of many common stocks but also a citizen of this democracy, I find the current state of campaign finance law after Citizen's United to be completely antithetical to the American tradition. Both Abraham Lincoln and Dwight Eisenhower warned us against just this turn of events.
PLEASE take the United States off of the SILENT AUCTION BLOCK our renegade Supreme Court has placed it on, and return the country to its democratic roots. We have become a laughingstock for the more functional democracies of the world, which used to look up to us instead. The path we are on degrades us into the worst caricature of a Banana Republic, based in bribery, graft and self-destructive crony capitalism.
