Dear Members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

Corporate donations to campaigns skew the weighting of votes in our country.  Now, a CEO or BOD with a particular political viewpoint can express that using their own resources AS WELL AS THOSE OF THEIR CORPORATIONS.  These few individuals will then be given special attention and credence from our elected representatives.  This is clearly in violation of our egalitarian principles.

So I strongly support the SEC issuing a rule in the near future that would require publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their spending on political activities.

Both shareholders and the public deserve to know how much a given corporation spends on politics (directly and through intermediaries), and which candidates are being promoted or attacked.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Jason Spencer
