Securities and Exchange Commission

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,

I am writing to urge you to return rule #4-637 to your agenda this year for swift enactment.

This rule, requiring public companies to disclose political spending and funding of trade and business associations, is essential to making our policy processes more transparent and holding corporations accountable for their political influence.

Exxon and other fossil fuel companies have not been disclosing all the money they have spent on preventing our representatives for taking action on climate change, nor the damage their actions have caused to our country for all the floods, wildfires and droughts.

Investors need to know about the sustainability of their business model when the USA and other countries are trying to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

Please enact rule #4-637.

Sincerely,

Edward Perry
