Securities and Exchange Commission

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,

I am writing to urge you to return rule #4-637 to your agenda this year for swift enactment.

It's bad enough that corporations get to outspend the average voter to the point where the corporate campaign contribution means more to the candidate than the public they're supposed to serve.  To allow corporations to hide their donations to candidates and front groups that spread misinformation is an all out attack on democracy itself.
At the very least, transparency in corporate political spending would be a step in the right direction.  There's no good reason why the public should be kept in the dark about who funds research that corporations want the public to believe.

Please enact rule #4-637.

Sincerely,

John Martucci
